Dirt Track Racing & James Dean

This weekend we drove up to Santa Maria, to meet Brian's family for the Annual Ron Otto Memorial Race (Brian's Great Uncle) We always enjoy this weekend trip and have tons of fun watching the races. On our way home we visited James Dean's crash site, memorial, and last stop spot before the crash. This was really neat for us and me (Sara) because I'm a huge James Dean fan! (We've been to Jimmy's home town and grave twice too!) Enjoy the pictures!

Us at the speedway
James Dean's Memorial...it's about 900 yards from the crash site.
To the side is the intersection where the crash happened.
55 years ago on September 30.
A better picture of me at the intersection.
Jimmys last stop before the crash, it was called Blackwell's Corner, it was like a mini deli mart type thing then...but it burnt down in the 60's I think.
On our way home we stopped in Burbank for some Bob's Big Boy for Lunner!

Holy Wow! What a great week!

Okay, so this was a great week! There was a lot of hanging out at home but also some really fun and amazing things too. Later in the week, I got a text from my friend, Allison, that one of my favorite TV shows, Dexter, was filming in Long Beach....very close to home! So I meet up with her and spent a couple of hours watching them film! It was beyond awesome! Even after this nice sunburn I have from standing outside, I am so happy I was there. Also! I got to get a picture with Charlie Lee an actor from the show who plays the part of Vince Masuka one of my favorite characters! ... and Brian and I went on a little date, where we watched Jaws at the beach. It was so much fun. I forgot how great that movie was! Anyways, here's some pics!

Masuka & Me!

These are two photos from the show.

So far, very good!

Our first month as husband and wife was amazing! From opening wedding gifts, to honeymooning in the Hawaiian Islands, to some Mini fun. We had a blast....we are still having a blast! ... Okay so here are a few pictures of that great month!
Mallory, my Maid of Honor, surprised us after our weekend Honeymoon in Laguna Beach, with our wedding gifts waiting for us in the living room! It was the first thing I saw after Brian carried me over the threshold !.... So we ate left over wedding cake and opened presents!

Aloha! Our Honeymoon in Hawaii! We stayed about a week on Oahu, Waikiki Beach. Followed by a 7 day island hopping cruise, to Maui, the big island, and Kaui. Then Followed by 4 days on Oahu's North Shore and Turtle Bay Resort!
The very 1st picture in Hawaii, we just got to our resort!
Us right out side of the Thurston Lava Tube.

One of my favorite pictures! This is by Rainbow falls.

Here we are by Diamond Head Crater....Which we climbed!

I love how this picture turned out! This is at Waikiki Beach, at Tiki's Bar & Grill.
On the Mighty Mo.

I don't know why but I love this picture!
Sailing along Kaui's Coast, its gorgeous there!!!
Our nicknames, Ball & Chain, during the ships pub crawl.
Hanging out on a lava beach.

After we got back from our Honeymoon we meet up with many friends and family. This pictures is from the OC Fair. We are standing in front of the quilt my Grandma Joyce made for us!
Mini Countryman Preview Party in Los Angeles. This was awesome! I loved being able to see the new Mini! And I called dibs! It will be my next car!

Original we planned on doing the whole Mini Takes the States event, which is a caravan type road trip thing from various cities around the US that would meet up in Colorado. With the road trip there are parties at each stop city. Anyways, we decided to not do the road trip but last minute we drove up to Las Vegas to the Minus 5 Ice Lounge for the Mini party there. It was cold and great!

Yes, it is a Mini ice sculpture!
After a couple of hours at the ice lounge we went to In N Out for dinner, then to another In N Out right off the freeway for a shake for the drive home. I love this picture so I had to post it!

Just a few favorites

Here are just a few of my favorite wedding pictures! There are about 700 actual wedding pictures from Drew B, our photographer. We now get to pick 70 pictures for our album...how are we going to narrow it down?... I have no clue. :-)
