Wow! Spring, Summer, & Fall has speed past us! The simplest way to say what we have been up to ...is well...busy....feels like we are constantly busy with something! We are enjoying ourselves and will catch up on our major events in the near future.
What we really wanted to say to all of our loved ones is Happy Holidays and that we hope you all have a relaxing and joyous season!

Ugh 27....really?
Yes, I'm getting old...we're both getting old...or at least feel like we are. This year both Brian and I turned 27.
Even though I was not happy with my digits changing I loved celebrating my Birthday with my husband! We both took the day off and spent our time visiting LA.
We spent most of our afternoon at the Griffith Observatory. |
Anyone who knows me knows I love James Dean and of course I love Rebel without a Cause too! Not only did I get to enjoy astronomy but I enjoyed pointing out scenes from the movie! |
Brian and I enjoyed the scenic background of the observatory...both the Hollywood sign ... |
... and the city skyline. |
We ended our visit by going to Bob's Big Boy in Burbank for lunner! Followed by driving home via PCH! Thank You, Honey for a great day!!! |

Upgrading
We have a lot of ideas and plans for our house. This summer we decided that we wanted to redo the floors and our closet in our bedroom. We started our project in August thinking our closet would be a weekend project...but after a weekend passed we realized it was a bigger job and decided if were going to redo our bedroom then lets really redo the bedroom! We started our project up again over Thanksgiving break and finished it right before new years!
So from Thanksgiving to New years our living room became our bedroom. It was kind of nice sleeping right by our Christmas tree and heater....until our air mattress sprung a leak.We pulled up our subfloors, put in recessed lighting in the living room, and added insulation in the floor.
After we put in new insulation, we also put in new, more thick and sturdy sub floors.
Our closet. We made our closet door smaller, this made our closet seem bigger. We did more to our closet but its a lot to explain!

Creative Friends
I wanted to share how creative our friends are. So for our Dex the Halls holiday party we had a Dexter inspired gift exchange! Everyone was so creative and brought awesome gifts! I only have a few pictures of what was brought...but I thought this would give a good enough idea of how awesome our friends are! If you don't watch the show you will probably think that we are all very weird but if you do watch Dexter, I think you might be jealous of how neat this stuff is!
Our neighbors and friends brought to the party a cheese and bread kill room! They were even sneaky and took some pictures from Facebook and put them in the kill room! How cute is this?!"Murderita" Margarita mix!
An enlarged blood slide! Brian won this and I think he should put it up in his new office at work!
A Masuka shirt and badge!
The ice truck killer hand in an evidence bag! I love this! It got stolen from me but I ended up with an awesome apron! This hand is so neat it is hallow and fits on the top of the tree perfectly...I might have to borrow it for next years party!
This ornament was also inspired by the ice truck killer season! This was a hostess gift from our good friend Nicole! I absolutely love it!!!!
Yes, I had Brian pose for this picture! This is the amazing apron I won during the game! I can't wait for summer so I can wear this out back barbecuing!!!
Thank you to all of our amazing friends! You all are so awesome and creative! I can't wait for next years party!!!!

Thankful
We've been so busy lately with me teaching Kindergarten and Brian working and traveling! We both had Thanksgiving week off! We started re-doing our bedroom and got to spend time with family and friends! We are so thankful for having such wonderful people in our lives, for getting to spend Thanksgiving with good friends, and for taking some time out of our busy schedules that week to enjoy ourselves, friends, and do something for ourselves (working on our house projects!)
Happy Thanksgiving and Holidays!!!!
